At Green GEN Cymru, we want to minimise the impact of our routes whilst maximising the capacity available for Wales. To do this, we’ve looked at options across the globe and are pleased to be the deploying Aluminium Conductor Composite Core (ACCC Hamburg) – a cutting-edge, high-capacity, low-sag overhead line conductor.
Utilised in the US, Green GEN Cymru are the first company in the UK to deploy this technology on L7 towers. The ACCC Hamburg allows our network to provide far greater network capacity (usually associated with 275kV –400kV systems) without introducing transmission-level pylons.
