Electricity Infrastructure Land Rights Code of Practice: A Landmark for Fair DevelopmentA Landmark for Fair Development
Green GEN Cymru is proud to support the newly published Electricity Infrastructure Land Rights Code of Practice, a landmark guide endorsed by leading industry bodies.
This initiative sets new standards for how land access is secured for electricity projects, ensuring fairness and transparency for farmers, landowners, and communities across Wales and the UK.
The Code of Practice has received formal backing from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), Energy Networks Association (ENA) and the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (CAAV).
Electricity infrastructure is critical for the country and development often necessitates access to or rights over agricultural and other rural land. These actions can impact landowners, tenants, and rural businesses, and the new guidance aims to ensure the interests of all parties are recognised and represented throughout the process.
