Cardiff University careers in sustainability: Employer meet & greet

The event was a great opportunity to talk about the wide range of roles involved in developing electricity network infrastructure — and why strengthening grid capacity is essential for Wales’ future energy system.

Chloe attended on behalf of Green GEN Cymru, returning to campus as an employer representative after completing her studies at Cardiff University. Chloe studied City and Regional Planning (BSc) and went on to complete an MSc in Sustainability, Planning and Environmental Policy — making it a real full-circle moment.

We spoke with students about career pathways across planning, environment, engineering, land and community engagement, and what it takes to deliver major infrastructure projects responsibly and with local communities.
