Access for surveys
When planning and developing our projects, we need to carry out surveys to help inform both the scheme’s design and the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). To do this, we need to survey a wide area to ensure we understand the local environment, potential project impacts, and any mitigation required.
The survey results will help inform decisions on the routeing of the proposed Towy Usk connection project and will inform our EIA.
Our land agent
We have recently appointed a new land agent, Dalcour Maclaren, who will be working closely with landowners and occupiers along the proposed Towy Usk connection route to help coordinate survey access and support ongoing, open land engagement, focussed on building positive and constructive relationships.
Together, we will work with you to agree suitable access arrangements for surveys, aiming to carry them out at convenient times and with as little inconvenience as possible.
Some surveys need to be carried out at specific times of the year We’ll always do our best to plan these in a way that respects your land and operations.
Providing access to land for surveys does not affect your ability to take part in consultations or share your views on the Towy Usk connection project at any time.
Our land agent will continue to seek voluntary agreements for access and reaching agreement together will always be our preferred approach. In the unlikely event that we’re unable to do so, we may need to consider using relevant legal powers, but we will always aim to resolve matters through open discussion first.
