This week, Green GEN Cymru is proud to take part in Wales Climate Action Week — a national moment to reflect on how we can all take positive action towards a cleaner, greener Wales. We’re shining a spotlight on five key themes that align with our values and our mission to build a stronger, more sustainable energy network for the future.
Monday – Climate Action Awareness
We’re starting the week by raising awareness of the collective actions we can all take to tackle climate change — from reducing our carbon footprint to supporting initiatives that make a long-term difference for Wales.
Tuesday – Circular Economy
We’re exploring the importance of keeping resources in use for longer, reducing waste, and promoting reuse and recycling across our operations. A circular approach helps protect our environment and supports a more resilient Welsh economy.
Wednesday – Sourcing Locally
We’re highlighting the value of local partnerships. By sourcing from Welsh suppliers and supporting independent businesses, we strengthen local communities and reduce our carbon footprint.
Thursday – Green Travel
Our teams are encouraged to travel sustainably — whether by walking, cycling, car sharing, or taking public transport. Every small choice helps reduce emissions and supports Wales’ wider climate goals.
Friday – Energy Day
To close the week, we’re focusing on energy awareness — sharing insights into how clean, renewable power is shaping Wales’ future, and how we can all play a part in using energy more efficiently at work and at home.
Throughout the week, our colleagues are getting involved, sharing ideas, and taking action — because when we all play our part, we power change together.
